Behind The Brand

Sue Sartor creates small batch treasures that exemplify joy, optimism and femininity. Each style is designed thoughtfully to go everywhere life takes you in comfort and effortless style. Our designs feature handmade artisan textiles with the sensibility of modern silhouettes.

Hand-stamped with love in Jaipur, India, here are a few of the many reasons a Sue Sartor dress is special:

SMALL BATCH ARTISAN

Each of our styles are made by artisans in limited quantities and full of special details. Each block printed dress is hand stamped, one at a time to make our signature styles. Sue works closely with our design team in Jaipur to source exclusive fabrics that we only create in small quantities. Silks and satins are hand-loomed and hand-dyed, and sustainability is a priority whenever possible.

About The Designer

Sue Sartor is an independent designer with a deep admiration for fashion, textiles, art and flowers. Sue started her career working in fashion merchandising for Calvin Klein’s iconic luxury brand, Calvin Klein Collection in the prolific 90’s… but she dreamed of designing her own artisan, luxury line of tunics, dresses, & kaftans.

Sue felt there was a need to bring to market a fashion line of sustainable textiles sourced globally with the sensibility of western style. Her custom embroideries are botanically inspired by the beauty of flora and fauna, and she  delights in creating getaway worthy garments & statement making moments for her clients.
